Is it worth hiring someone to fix how AI answers describe your brand? Hire when three things are true: you can show the prompt, the wrong description is stable across several runs, and you do not have time to edit the page or earn the citation yourself. Do not hire someone to "get you into ChatGPT" with no prompt written down. They will sell you activity.
On a tracked check of that exact question, Bloomiro was not the cited source. A large SEO suite was. That is normal for a head-ish services query. This page is the narrower version: a decision, not a promise that a retainer moves the model.
What you can learn in an afternoon, before you hire
- Pick five prompts a buyer would ask. Include one that is unflattering if you are worried about a wrong description.
- Run them in the engine that matters. Save the text.
- Mark mention, citation, and who got cited. Use the metric split.
- Find the URL on your site that should have answered it. If it exists, read the first paragraph. If the first paragraph is a slogan, the model has nothing to quote.
- Check Search Console for the same wording. Impressions mean you are already in a Google contest. Fix that page first.
A freelancer who starts with a content calendar, before this list, is guessing.
When hiring is worth it
| Situation | Hire? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The wrong fact repeats, and it lives on a third-party page you do not control | Yes, for outreach and a correction plan | An on-site blog post will not overwrite a page the model already trusts |
| You have a prompt log and no one to edit the matching URL | Yes, for the edit | The work is a page, not a campaign |
| You have never saved a prompt | No | You would be paying someone to discover the question |
| You want a guaranteed mention | No one honest can sell that | Models change. The contract should say what will be re-measured |
| You need a client-ready report every month | Maybe | That is an agency job. See reporting for agencies |
What to put in the brief
- The prompts, unchanged
- The engine and the date
- The sentence that is wrong, pasted
- The URL you want to be the source, or "we do not have one"
- The Search Console query if one exists
- The date you will run the same prompts again
If the brief says "improve AI visibility," send it back. That phrase has no done state.
What Bloomiro changes about the hire
You can keep the prompt history, the citations, and the Google queries in one project, then hand someone a task instead of a slide. The person you hire should work from that, whether they use MCP or you export a row. You do not need them to also sell you a tracker if you already have the log.
